Fairchild will be making his Major League debut, after hitting .328 (21-for-64) with a 1.083 OPS, 6 HR and 18 RBI in 17 games for the Reno Aces this season. He came to the D-backs from the Reds, along with Josh VanMeter at the trade deadline last year, in exchange for Archie Bradley.
Difficult though it is to believe, the Diamondbacks do not have the worst road record in the majors, despite setting an MLB record with 24 consecutive defeats away from home. Heck, Arizona doesn’t even have the worst record in the National League West. Because a whopping 4 1⁄2 games back of the Diamondbacks this year, at a startling 6-31, we find the Colorado Rockies.
