The Arizona Diamondbacks made the following roster moves:
- Selected RHP Noé Ramirez (No. 50) from Triple-A Reno.
- Designated RHP Keury Mella (KAY-ooh-ree MAY-uh) for assignment.
You are probably asking yourself right now, “Who the hell is Noé Ramirez?” A fair question. The 31-year-old pitcher was originally drafted by the Red Sox in the fourth round of the 2011 draft, and made his MLB debut for him in 2015. In August 2017, the Angels picked him up off waivers, and up until last month, he had been there ever since.
