Diamondbacks center fielder A.J. Pollock exited Friday's game after injuring his left groin in the first inning.
Pollock flied out to center to end the inning and pulled up after rounding first base, favoring his left leg before crouching down.
Manager Chip Hale and a team trainer went out to check on Pollock before removing him from the game.
Pollock was able to walk off the field on his own.
The Diamondbacks later announced he had left the game with an injured left groin.
Mitch Haniger, who started the game in left field, moved to center with Kyle Jensen coming in to cover left.
