PHOENIX -- Patrick Corbin did not seem to have his best stuff Friday night, but the D-backs left-hander managed to crank out six efficient innings as the D-backs fell, 2-1, to the Giants at Chase Field.
Corbin had dominated the Giants in three previous starts against them this year, compiling a 1.74 ERA and nearly throwing a no-hitter the last time he faced them at home.
This time around, the Giants scored an early run against him when Austin Slater doubled home Buster Posey in the first inning.
