PHOENIX -- When he met with the media before Tuesday's game with the Cubs, manager Torey Lovullo said he believed this was the night that things would turn for the D-backs, who have watched their postseason hopes grow dimmer by the day.
Instead, it was more of the same as the D-backs fell, 9-1, in front of a Chase Field crowd that loudly cheered the visitors.
With the loss, the D-backs fell to six games behind the Cardinals in the race for the second National League Wild Card spot.
