With his front office taking shape, Diamondbacks General Manager Mike Hazen says he’ll soon begin the interview process to find a new manager. He said he expects to talk to five to seven candidates, but he wanted to leave that range “open-ended.”
“We’re trying to find the right person,” Hazen said. “As you go through these processes, sometimes that’s fluid in terms of wanting to really find the right fit for our ballclub in the short- and long-term.”
Hazen spoke to reporters on Wednesday morning on a conference call to introduce Amiel Sawdaye, the club’s new senior vice president and assistant general manager, who came with Hazen from the Boston Red Sox.
