Wood (1.67 ERA) is the first Dodgers pitcher to begin a season 10-0 since reliever Ed Roebuck in 1962 and the first starter since Don Newcombe in 1955 (both Wood and Newcombe had one win in relief).
With his 13th start, Wood has the longest streak of starts to open a Dodgers season without a loss since Rick Rhoden (19) in 1976. The club hopes he is added to the All-Star team to replace Clayton Kershaw, who is starting for the Dodgers on Sunday and won't pitch in the All-Star Game presented by Mastercard.
