D-backs' Anderson happy to be home in Texas

"First time being actually on this field," Anderson said. "I played on the little Dr. Pepper Little League Field down the street. They had a camp there. But being in this stadium, being part of a team playing the Rangers, it feels good."

Anderson said he had left about 20 tickets for family and friends.

Had he been starting one of the games, he would have had "probably 200" people in attendance.

Several other D-backs have Texas connections.

First baseman Paul Goldschmidt is from Houston and went to school at Texas State University.
