SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- The D-backs have signed veteran left-hander Jorge De La Rosa to a Minor League deal.
De La Rosa, 35, who spent the last nine seasons with the Rockies, has made 241 starts during his career. He could also pitch out of the bullpen for Arizona.
Last season, De La Rosa finished with an 8-9 record, a 5.51 ERA, a 1.64 WHIP and 108 strikeouts in 27 appearances (24 starts) over 134 innings. It marked only the second time he finished with a sub-.500 record since joining the Rockies in 2008. De La Rosa also went 0-2 in '12 with only three appearances.
