The D-backs, who have been linked to middle infielders for weeks leading up to Tuesday's non-waiver Trade Deadline, have finally found their man. Arizona acquired Twins infielder Eduardo Escobar on Friday in exchange for three Minor Leaguers: outfielder Gabriel Maciel (the D-backs' No. 11 prospect per MLB Pipeline), right-hander Jhoan Duran (No. 19) and right fielder Ernie De La Trinidad.
The club also recalled Ildemaro Vargas from Triple-A Reno and placed infielder Jake Lamb on the 10-day disabled list with a left shoulder contusion. To make room on the 40-man roster, Arizona designated infielder Jack Reinheimer for assignment.
