With the trade deadline less than a week away, Mike Hazen and the Diamondbacks got the party started with their trade for LHP A.J. Puk from the Miami Marlins. First to report the news was Ken Rosenthal.

It was later confirmed that both Deyvison De Los Santos and Andrew Pintar were the players going to Miami.
For the D-backs, it’s the type of move Hazen has become known for in recent years, acquiring minor pieces on the fringes of established teams to hopefully lift the team into the playoffs and Puk fits that perfectly.
