After a much-needed win led by Joc Pederson last night, the D-Backs were staring down the mountain that Tyler Glasnow has become in a Dodgers’ uniform. The newly acquired ace of the LA staff was good, but blinked first in a taut pitching duel against Ryne Nelson who excellently piggy backed off Brandon Hughes. From there, the bullpen carved through an especially aggressive LA lineup - eight ABs ended after a single pitch - to preserve an impressive shutout. And while the pitching undoubtedly led the charge, the offense impressed for a consecutive night against some of the top Dodgers’ bullpen arms and their ace.
