Cory Hahn, Trevor Williams support those with spinal cord injuries through Project 34
On Feb. 20, 2011, Cory Hahn, then an Arizona State freshman, suffered a spinal cord injury on a head-first slide into second base that left him paralyzed from the chest down.
He was 19 and just three games into what he and others envisioned as a three-year path that would lead California's high school Mr. Baseball in 2010 to the major leagues.
Hahn, now 27, made it to the majors in a much different way than he imagined. He is the Arizona Diamondbacks coordinator of professional scouting and beyond that co-founder of Project 34, a non-profit organization created to assist those with spinal cord injuries.
