On Monday, Corbin Carroll became the first player in Diamondbacks franchise history to be named Rookie of the Year, and he also became the 14th player in MLB history to win the award unanimously.
The last player to win Rookie of the Year unanimously was Cody Bellinger in 2017.
Standing behind Corbin during the announcement were his teammates, including Brandon Pfaadt, Geraldo Perdomo, Alek Thomas, and Pavin Smith.
After the celebration died down a bit, Carroll spoke with the MLB network about his initial reactions.
Corbin explained how the long playoff run that the Diamondbacks embarked on has made them a much more “connected and dangerous team.
