Yoenis Cespedes has reached an agreement to return to the New York Mets on a four-year, $110 million deal, a person with direct knowledge of the agreement told USA TODAY Sports.
The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the deal - the largest for a Mets free agent since Carlos Beltran's $119 million deal in 2006 - has not yet been announced.
Cespedes, 31, opted out of a three-year, $75 million contract he signed one year ago after earning $27.6 million in 2016.
