Asked about his club’s path forward from a severely disappointing season, Diamondbacks CEO Derrick Hall on Thursday used the phrase “hit reset” for perhaps the first time in his decade and a half atop the organization. What he did not do, however, was give any indication that change was coming with the club’s leadership, including manager Torey Lovullo.
Hall did not fully commit to a rebuild — in more ways than one. For starters, he said the organization still did not have a “definite plan of attack.” Moreover, he said the club has never believed in a “total rebuild.
