Recap: Welington Castillo smacked a two-run homer in his second game as a Diamondback, and Arizona beat the New York Mets 2-1 in front of 30,265 at Chase Field on Saturday.
Arizona took the one-run lead into the ninth and turned to RHP Brad Ziegler for the save. The tying run actually reached second on Ziegler thanks to a one-out single and catcher's interference by Castillo, but Ziegler got pinch-hitter John Mayberry Jr. to bounce into a 5-3 double play to end the game.
The Diamondbacks trailed 1-0 after the second as RHP Chase Anderson found himself in a pitching duel with Mets RHP Bartolo Colon.
