The Dbacks went into this game desperately needing a win after the loss last night and the Dodgers starting their ace Tyler Glasnow tomorrow night. To accomplish the task, the team turned to Brandon Pfaadt in just his second full season to take on the ‘billion dollar gorilla’ as so affectionately nicknamed by our owner Ken Kendrick.
Things didnt look promising initially when Pfaadt labored to a 25 pitch first inning. Fortunately, Pfaadt would then settle in retiring 15 of his next 16.
The Dbacks got on the board first in the top of the 2nd inning when Eugenio Suarez singled on a line drive to right field scoring Lourdes Gurriel Jr.
