Diamondbacks left-hander Madison Bumgarner exited his start early on Monday night with discomfort in his left leg, but the issue appears to be so minor that the club is not planning to send him for an MRI on Tuesday.
Given the state of the Diamondbacks’ injured list, that made Monday’s 3-1 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers feel almost like a half-victory.
They didn’t come out of it entirely unscathed, but they weren’t left scrambling to make roster moves, either.
Bumgarner departed after four innings with what the team called a spasm in his left adductor, which is a muscle in the groin/thigh area.
