DENVER -- The D-backs called up outfielder Socrates Brito from Triple-A Reno on Friday after dealing veteran outfielder Michael Bourn to the Orioles following Wednesday's game.
This will be Brito's fourth stint in the big leagues this year. He has hit .147 in 34 at-bats and consistent playing time at the Major League level has been hard to come by.
"He's gotten real hot down at Reno," D-backs manager Chip Hale said. "When you're shuttling between levels, it's difficult to get any good feel, or just feel normal. This is a talented, talented player who just has not been able to get it going.
