'Big Unit' selected for Arizona Sports HOF

DENVER -- Randy Johnson will be inducted into the Arizona Sports Hall of Fame this October, joining fellow D-backs legend Luis Gonzalez, who went in last year.

Johnson, who was inducted to the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2015, will be in attendance during the 46th Arizona Sports Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on Oct. 27 at the Tempe Center for the Arts.

The Arizona Sports Hall of Fame has been honoring athletes, coaches, administrators and others who have made significant contributions to Arizona sports since 1957.

Johnson, who serves as a special assistant to D-backs team president and CEO Derrick Hall, won 303 games during his big league career, including 118 with the D-backs.
