The Valley has its own fraternity of failure, a place for athletes who have broken hearts and dreams, wildly disappointed fans and represent the worst of Arizona sports.
Shelby Miller is the latest member of this awful club. But he doesn’t plan on staying long.
“I wouldn’t say this has been a nightmare,” the Diamondbacks pitcher said. “I’d call it a huge learning experience.”
At the very least, Miller has survived one of the most trying seasons imaginable. He was a bad baseball player that came to us from a very bad trade. He was hit hard by those wielding baseball bats, and even harder by those carrying laptops and microphones.
