Fresh off a humbling series loss by the Minnesota Twins, the Diamondbacks looked to get back on the right track against a struggling Oakland Athletics team that came into this series with only 1 single road win in the month of June (June 1st against the Braves). Now sweeps are never easy, these are professional sports teams and these guys are still very high level talents, but I would be lying if I said I wasn’t a little disappointed in the fact that the Diamondbacks could not sweep this team. The upcoming schedule doesn’t get easier, so this could very easily be a series the team looks back on and goes “I cant believe we let one of those slip away’.
