DENVER – The last time the Diamondbacks had ventured out onto the road, they returned home after three consecutive losses, including a game in which they were victims of a no-hitter. At that point, they had completed more than a third of their road schedule, and they were not a good team – not a good hitting team, specifically – away from Chase Field.
Just one trip later and those are becoming outdated notions. After destroying the Colorado Rockies 16-4 on Wednesday night, the Diamondbacks improved to 6-1 on this three-city jaunt. They are hitting .320 on this trip through Detroit, Philadelphia and Denver.
