Arizona Diamondbacks sign veteran outfielder Josh Reddick

The Diamondbacks have signed veteran Josh Reddick to a minor league deal, a move that bolsters the outfield depth in their system.

Reddick, 34, has played parts of 12 years in the majors, including the past four with the Houston Astros.

He will report to the club’s alternate training site and is willing to play in Triple-A, according to a source. His deal will be worth $750,000 if he is promoted to the majors.

Reddick has history with Diamondbacks General Manager Mike Hazen and assistant GM Amiel Sawdaye, who were in the Boston front office when the Red Sox drafted Reddick in 2006.
