The Arizona Diamondbacks have announced the signing of a pair of familiar faces to minor-league deals.
Edwin Jackson, who pitched a no-hitter for Arizona in 2010 and Jon Jay, an outfielder who played for the Diamondbacks in 2018, were signed Monday and invited to spring training with the club.
Arizona also brought in catcher John Hicks and outfielder Trayce Thompson and invited them to spring training, as well.
Jackson, 36, has pitched for a record 14 MLB teams in his career. He was acquired by the Diamondbacks in December of 2009 in the trade that sent Max Scherzer to the Detroit Tigers.
