With less than five games remaining in the regular season, the Arizona Diamondbacks have made the decision to release RHP Zach Davies, per Nick Piecoro.
Zach Davies has been designated for assignment. Justin Martinez recalled in his place.

Davies was drafted in the 26th round of the 2011 MLB draft out of Mesquite High School in Gilbert, Arizona.
