The Diamondbacks reported to work on Thursday not knowing whether they would play a baseball game later in the day.
The flurry of postponements across the sports world on Wednesday tied to outrage over the shooting by police of Jacob Blake in Kenosha, Wisconsin, impacted Major League Baseball. Three games were called off when players voted not to participate, and individual players such as Colorado’s Matt Kemp also decided to sit out.
Against that backdrop, Diamondbacks players did not have enough time to make an informed decision about whether to play, pitcher Archie Bradley said on Thursday.
