The Arizona Diamondbacks reinstated LHP T.J. McFarland from the 10-day disabled list (left ankle contusion) and placed RHP Taijuan Walker on the 10-day disabled list, retroactive to May 20, with a blister on his right index finger. McFarland, 27, is 1-0 with a 1.59 ERA (1 ER in 5.2 IP) in 5 appearances with the D-backs this season. Walker, 24, is 4-3 with a 3.46 ERA (20 ER in 52.0 IP) in 9 starts for Arizona this season.
This came out of nowhere, and Walker seemed to be fine earlier this series, tossing six shutout innings against the Padres on Friday night.
