The injury sustained by right-hander Shelby Miller of the Arizona Diamondbacks Sunday could be more serious than first thought.
When Miller left the contest against the Los Angeles Dodgers with no outs in the fifth inning, the concern seemed immediate and not long term. Describe as tightness in his right forearm, Miller told Venom Strikes after the game, “I feel fine and will probably feel better tomorrow.”
Perhaps, but the Diamondbacks took every precaution. Before Monday’s game with the San Diego Padres in Chase Field, Miller was placed on the 10-day disabled list with that tightness.
