Arizona Diamondbacks complete road sweep the Atlanta Braves

ATLANTA – Ronald Acuna Jr. was overpowered by a high fastball in the first inning on Thursday, then was caught looking twice more on fastballs later in the game. For the second day in a row, baseball’s most explosive young player was a nonfactor.

For three days, Freddie Freeman was largely held in check, Ozzie Albies was limited and Josh Donaldson rarely looked comfortable.

With their 4-1 win over the Atlanta Braves on Thursday afternoon, the Diamondbacks completed a three-game sweep at SunTrust Park, an outcome largely driven by a Braves bullpen that, when it wasn’t turning leads into deficits, would hand out insurance runs to anyone who would take them.
