Returning home after a 6-3 east coast road trip that was capped off with back to back sweeps in Miami and Boston, the Diamondbacks looked to keep their momentum going at home as they welcomed the New York Mets into town for an important 3 game series, as each team continued their fight for a postseason spot. With the September being just a few days away, the final race for the finish line is just ahead of these teams, so they can’t afford to let off the gas pedal now.
Game 1 wasn’t the most ideal start to a series that Diamondbacks fans would ask for, as Brandon Pfaadt continued his blowup inning problem, this time being the 5th inning in Which the Mets put up 6 runs alone and chased Pfaadt before he could complete th inning and limit the damage.
