Just before the end of the season, Inciarte, who missed the final three games with a right shin contusion, sat down with MLB.com to discuss his season and his plans for the offseason.
MLB.com: How would you assess your season?
Inciarte: I feel like I've done what I expected. Of course I'm always asking a lot of myself and am never satisfied. Really, I'm just trying to get better every day. But I'm happy with the way I've performed. I don't think I've ever had more than 500 at-bats in my career [he had 524 this season], but this year I didn't feel tired and I'm just happy that I've been able to play and get so many at-bats.
