The batting triple crown is won by leading the league in batting average, home runs, and runs batted in (RBIs). The last winner was Miguel Cabrera in 2012.
Why look at something that hasn’t happened in more than ten years?
Let’s look at batting crown that is difficult and yet achievable every season. The better triple crown has three requirements (regular season games):
- Lead their team in home runs.
- Lead their team in RBIs.
