87 and counting: How the Arizona Diamondbacks keep making bobblehead magic

In Milwaukee, fans can find a veritable shrine to the Arizona Diamondbacks at the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum.

The museum has an entire display case filled exclusively with purple and Sedona red. Randy Johnson and Luis Gonzalez brush plastic elbows. A.J. Pollock leaps the wall to glove a certain home run. Jake Lamb kneels to pat a tiny white lamb. Taijuan Walker, painted in the gray pallor of a Game of Thrones White Walker, raises his arms menacingly.

The Diamondbacks have been giving away bobbleheads for almost their entire existence. The modern tradition started with the San Francisco Giants in 1999, but the Diamondbacks have given away among the most bobbleheads in baseball, according to Phil Sklar, co-founder and CEO of the Bobblehead Hall of Fame.
