Acquired from Seattle in the Mark Trumbo trade, Jack Reinheimer finally got his chance at the MLB roster after a stretch of injuries hit the shortstop position. With a Chris Owings broken finger and Nick Ahmed broken wrist, coupled with the unfortunate bereavement list stay from Ketel Marte, the team selected Jack from Triple-A Reno for depth purposes. The D-backs wasted no time getting him his debut against the Cubs in a shellacking 16-4 defeat. He struck out against John Lester in the top of the 4th.
