Outfielder Anfernee Grier, from Auburn University. Harold Reynolds liked the pick, and a National League scout said. "I think he could be taken as early as No. 23 but I don’t expect him to last past the end of the sandwich round at 40." Greer had previously been selected out of high school in the 2013 draft, but his stock has clearly risen since he failed to sign there, after being chosen in the 39th round.
