By the end of this week, Anson Thornton could be on his way back to Ontario, Canada to get ready for another season with junior hockey's Sarnia Sting.
But he's enjoyed a month to remember, and to build off of, in Arizona getting an opportunity with the Coyotes on a tryout basis. And Thornton, 18, has opened some eyes within the team's coaches and front office with his play.
"It means everything to me. It's something I've been working towards my whole life," Thornton said of his chance to practice with and learn from the Coyotes. Just a dream come true to be here right now.
