The Arizona Coyotes (5-4-1) will face-off against a team that share a mass amount of similarities with them in the Winnipeg Jets (4-4-2) inside Mullett Arena at 1 p.m. today.
Whenever these two teams play, the history of each franchise is brought up every time since they are intertwined with one another.
The Coyotes were known as the “original” Winnipeg Jets from 1972-96.
Then, the Jets relocated to the valley in 1996 and played at America West Arena, now known as the Footprint Center, in Phoenix.
While looking at stat sheets of all-time leaders in certain categories, former players may still have franchise records set when the Coyotes were still in Winnipeg.
