Not many people expected the Coyotes to defeat the Colorado Avalanche in a best-of-seven series. The Avalanche, a team pegged by many as a strong candidate to win the Stanley Cup, were odds-on favorites to eliminate the Coyotes in the Western Conference quarterfinals.
Still, the Coyotes have something to prove in the series, which reaches its fifth game on Wednesday in Edmonton. After a 7-1 drubbing in Game 4 on Monday, the Coyotes are looking for a response for Game 5 that shows they belong in the playoffs.
"Obviously it was embarrassing," Coyotes defenseman Jordan Oesterle said.
