Arizona Coyotes head coach André Tourigny reflected on a five-goal first period, some inconsistencies he saw for the remainder of the game, goaltender Connor Ingram’s play lately and more postgame after a 6-0 win over the Washington Capitals on Dec. 4.
Tourigny expressed that he was happy with how the team came out in the first period, but stated that there were moments that they struggled with possession and breaking the puck out of the zone.
When talking about Washington, Tourigny gave them credit to the Capitals who imposed a “hard” forecheck and put pressure on the Coyotes despite being down by five goals in the first period.
