There's not a lot of good news surrounding the Arizona Coyotes' AHL affiliate, the Springfield Falcons. It's unfortunate, but it's true. However, that does not mean that this season has been a total loss.
In fact, there have been some incredibly (albeit few) positive aspects of the Falcons' season. With the back end of the season approaching following Monday's All-Star Game, let's assess what has and hasn't been good for the Coyotes' affiliate this season.
The Bad
Let's get this out of the way.
At 17-22-5 with 39 points, the Falcons are sole owners of dead last in the Atlantic Division, just two points above Eastern Conference-worst Binghamton Senators for worst in the East, while also being the fourth worst team in the league.
