Springfield Falcons forward Dustin Jeffrey got some good news Thursday, as he was named the Falcons representative to the AHL All-Star Game. Jeffrey has had an outstanding season thus far in what has otherwise been an underwhelming year from a team standard, tied for the team lead in points with 10 goals and 14 assists.
He's also spent time in Arizona, notching a goal and an assist in seven games.
Each team is required to have a representative for the All-Star Challenge, and Jeffrey seemed to be the most reasonable pick. An argument can be made that the likes of Alex Grant (who's 6-18-24 line is tied for third most points for a blueliner this season) and Greg Carey (11-9-20) could have also been considered.
