Nick Schmaltz, Lawson Crouse and Clayton Keller scored goals, and goalie Scott Wedgewood stopped 32 shots in his first game in 19 days to lead the Coyotes to a 3-1 win over the Dallas Stars Sunday night at Gila River Arena.
Schmaltz added two assists, feeding Keller for an empty-net goal with 34.7 seconds to play that sealed the Coyotes' victory.
Schmaltz ended an 0-for-16 power play drought over almost seven games when his shot went off Stars defenseman Miro Heiskanen's stick and into the net at 17:05 of the second period.
It was Schmaltz's ninth goal of the season and fourth in the past four games.
