The Tucson Roadrunners (22-11-3-1; .649 pct) defeated the Texas Stars (21-15-3-2; .573 pct) by a score of 5-3 on Monday afternoon.
The Roadrunners are on one of their most gruesome series of the season. Monday afternoon began their first of four home games in less than a week. Tucson had just returned from a Friday-Saturday series in Colorado this past weekend, to make it 6 games in just 9 days.
“(Texas) was in the same position tonight, on a long road trip too,” Roadrunners defenseman Kyle Capobianco said after the game. “And your body recovers, we took the day off yesterday to travel, so we felt pretty good.
