According to a tweet from Aaron Portzline of The Columbus Dispatch, the Springfield Falcons are expected to become the new AHL affiliate of the Arizona Coyotes for the 2015-16 season.
The Falcons—who finished the regular season 37-28-8-1, 83 points—were previously the affiliate of the Columbus Blue Jackets, and have held that relationship since 2010.
The Coyotes are currently affiliated with the Portland Pirates, who finished the regular season in similar fashion, ending the campaign with a 37-27-7-2 record and 83 points. Both teams are currently in the first round of the Calder Cup playoffs.
