Report: Arizona Coyotes may have committed at least 20 incidents of recruitment violations

A new report suggests the Coyotes may have committed at least 20 incidents of recruitment violations, according to TSN's Darren Dreger.

The Coyotes have been the subject of an ongoing investigation by the NHL to determine whether the club illegally tested draft-eligible players prior to the NHL Scouting Combine.

Dreger broke the original story on Jan. 30.

The Coyotes could be on the hook for $250,000 per infraction, according to guidelines laid out in the NHL's Combine Testing Policy. That could amount to a $5 million fine for new owner Alex Meruelo, who purchased a 95% stake in the Coyotes just this summer.
