DETROIT -- Coyotes winger John Scott joked about a campaign platform, kissing babies and shaking hands but in reality, the 33-year-old isn't sure why he was atop the leaderboard among fan votes for the NHL All-Star Game by mid-afternoon Wednesday after the polls opened Tuesday.
"I don’t know what’s going on," Scott said Wednesday after the Coyotes finished practice at Joe Louis Arena. "I just kind of stay out of it. Everyone gives me updates. The guys are giving me a hard time about it, but it's kind of neat. The fans, they obviously like me for some reason.
