On the first night he took up residence at teammate Max Domi’s house last week, Coyotes defenseman Jakob Chychrun enjoyed a perk that he didn’t have while living in a hotel to start the season.
He had a home-cooked meal of chicken, rice and salad.
“People think it’s great that you don’t have to cook or anything like that,” Chychrun said. “But honestly, it gets so old. I was really sick of eating out all the time.”
Winger Jamie McGinn is familiar with this lifestyle, getting shuffled between the NHL and minors for the first three seasons of his pro career with the Sharks organization.
