After 10 seasons with the Minnesota Wild, defenseman Matt Dumba is heading to the desert on a one year, $3.9 million contract.
For Dumba, the Coyotes were a perfect fit, after spending time in Arizona during the last three years.
With his trainer living in the North Scottsdale area, Dumba trained in Arizona around 2020 as COVID-19 kept everyone off the ice. After falling in love with the area, he bought a house in the Valley, where he could spend his off-time.
Combine that with a potentially significant role with the team and being friends with several Coyotes' players already, Dumba sees the team as a perfect fit.
